Job duties:

• Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and deploy cloud-based solutions, including virtual machines, storage, and networking components, ensuring they meet the organization’s needs for scalability and performance. Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services using IaC principles and create and maintain IaC templates and scripts to provision and manage cloud resources.
• Network Configuration and Management: Configure and manage virtual networks, subnets, and related security groups to ensure efficient and secure communication within cloud environments.
• System Integration: Integrate cloud services with existing on-premises systems and networks, ensuring seamless operation and data flow across hybrid environments.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security; optimize resource usage and performance using cloud-native tools and services.
• Security Management: Implement robust security measures, including firewalls, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop, implement, and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of system failures or data loss.
• Automation and Scripting: Create and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, management, and deployment processes.
• Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure that cloud infrastructure and practices comply with industry standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with software development teams to design and deploy applications on cloud platforms, ensuring that infrastructure meets development and operational needs.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution of problems.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with cloud service providers, including negotiating contracts, managing service-level agreements (SLAs), and optimizing the use of third-party services.
• Capacity Planning and Scaling: Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future needs and implement scaling strategies to accommodate growth and changing workloads.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and resource utilization.
• Training and Mentoring: Provide training and guidance to team members and stakeholders on cloud technologies, best practices, and security measures to ensure effective use and management of cloud resources.
• Cloud Migration: Plan and execute the migration of applications, data, and services to cloud environments, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance during the transition.
• Utilize IaC Tools: Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
• Manage Cloud Platforms: Manage and deploy applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Develop Scripts: Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate cloud operations.
• Ensure Security Best Practices: Ensure security best practices and compliance requirements are met in cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in cloud infrastructure.
• Analyze and Improve System Performance: Analyze system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Design Scalable Solutions: Collaborate with development teams to design scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
