What is AI?

Artificial intelligence generally refers to the processes and algorithms that can simulate human intelligence, including mirroring functions such as perception, learning and problem solving. Machine learning and deep learning (DL) are subsets of AI.

Machine learning is a subset of AI that falls within the “limited memory” category in which the AI (machine) can learn and develop over time.

So, what is the main difference between AI and ML?

An “intelligent” computer uses AI to think like a human and perform tasks on its own. Machine learning is how a computer system develops its intelligence. One way to train a computer to mimic human reasoning is to use a neural network, which is a series of algorithms that are modeled after the human brain.
